 I have 13 years of teaching experience across three universities, and have taught everything from journalism to philosophy. Currently I specialise in  media entrepreneurship and industry-transition courses. I teach an innovative career-building approach designed to help third-year media, public relations, and advertising students turn digital disruption and labour market upheaval to their advantage. I also have skills in video production, media presentation and coding, which I use to digitise content for blended and online delivery.

Some students like me.

Oh, I also bring CEOs and celebrities in to talk to my students

My 30-year career in media practice means I have close ties to industry, and I regularly arrange for high-profile representatives of the advertising, PR, and media sectors to come  in to campus to participate in guest lectures, industry panels, and networking events. In recent years, these have included:

  • Osher Günsberg (television and radio personality, and podcaster)

  • Annabel Crabb (television host and writer)

  • Anne Davies (investigations editor, Fairfax);

  • Tim Burrowes  (founder and content director, Mumbrella)

  • Vivienne Kelly (editor, Mumbrella)

  • Linda Jaivin (author and translater)
